Our client is a successful fintech start-up based in London. The client provides a software platform and an open API for the banking industry. The open API allows fintech enterprises to access banking services, create digital wallets, connect them, receive, send, and convert funds, launch cards, and administer loans. The range of services and geographical presence of the client are growing fast.

The specialist will work directly with the Head of Engineering and manage a team of 3+ developers, a Product Testing/QA Specialist, and a Technical Product Owner while working on important projects and implementing high-quality technical solutions to solve a business problem. This will be a cross-functional team that will focus on a specific part/task of the client's core platform.

The Technical Team Lead will manage the roadmap for the development of IT products, as well as plan and make improvements to these products within the agreed time frame. Half of your time will be focused on practical back-end development and the rest on team management.

The specialist we are looking for is a Senior back-end developer who wants to take the next step in their career in the direction of team management or team leadership, who is looking for new tasks and challenges.

Must have

• Extensive experience in developing server-side web applications using Clojure (Datomic would be an advantage)
• Experience with cloud technologies - AWS
• Excellent understanding of agile methodologies
• Experience in leading a technical team or project
• Excellent communication and business relationship building skills
• Desire to mentor and lead a team
• Spoken English
