Middle/Senior PHP (WordPress) Developer

Our PropTech company specializes in developing solutions for real estate professionals in the USA. 

We are looking for a PHP developer who has solid experience with WordPress and understands the basics of clean code. As a Back-end developer, you will work as part of a team of specialists on several of our major projects.

The WordPress developer will be responsible for the development of new web pages and shared components on new and existing sites.

At the moment the company has an office in Khmelnitsky with a team consisting of 1 Front-end developer (creating markup from Designs), 1 API solutions developer, 1 QA, and a Product manager. At this time we are expanding the team in the Khmelnitsky office, as well as working remotely with specialists from other regions of Ukraine.

Job type:

• Permanent position, Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Working with our WP codebase.
• Creating new plugins and themes if needed.
• Work with a content builder Gutenberg and ACF.
• Troubleshoot, re-factor, test, and maintain our existing projects and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Integration with our and third-party APIs
• Collaborating with front-end and other back-end and API developers.

Technical requirements:

• 2-4+ years of commercial experience in backend PHP development with a focus on WordPress;
• Advanced knowledge of WordPress CMS;
• Practical experience in WordPress theme/template/plugin creation/modification (ACF, Custom Post Types ShortCodes, WP_Rewrite{});
• Experience with WordPress API;
• Solid knowledge of PHP/SQL/OOP in general
• Skills with HTML/CSS/JavaScript 
• Experience with version control systems (git)

It will be a plus:

• Experience with other PHP frameworks (Laravel etc.)
• Experience as a front-end or full-stack developer
• Knowledge of SEO basics
