DataArt’s client is a fintech firm from the US. It is focused on mortgage loans and services around it. To ensure multiple internal and external services’ availability and reliability, our client started moving workloads to the cloud. The client chose AWS as a primary vendor, however has some projects in GCP and Azure.

DataArt was engaged to support the client in their cloud journey. Currently, our experts are working in close collaboration with the onsite team to set up the cloud governance, establish the best cloud DevOps practices. DataArt team is involved in multiple projects: from disaster recovery environments set up for the business-critical applications to the migration of large workloads or deploying them in the cloud as greenfield solutions.

The client is looking for a Cloud Security Specialist who will guide and consult the company throughout their transformation from on-premise to the cloud and help to establish the operations and development processes with industrial standards of security.

We hire people not to a project, but to the company. If the project (or your work in it) is over, you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the client, define the mature and sensible approach to securing the client’s systems in the cloud environment
• Build and maintain systems, security controls, and records in compliance with the client’s compliance and security requirements
• Collaborate with the team to develop secure architecture, security requirements, and guidelines
• Perform cloud environment assessment and hardening
• Select and integrate security tools into DevOps processes
• Provide consultancy and education to the client’s on-premise security team

Must have

• 2+ years of experience in IT security industry
• Strong experience in AWS cloud environment
• Familiarity and experience with network-level and application-level security controls, mechanisms, and vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of security software and features as well as the processes to manage and maintain them
• Ability to work well with customers, self-manage through difficult situations, be focused on client needs
• Good spoken English

Would be a plus

• Experience in GCP and Azure would be a plus
