A state investment and energy company with headquarters in Doha, Qatar, est. in 2013, is looking for a CFO for its newly-formed Ukraine Business. Apply today to lead the implementation of an ambitious plan to invest $250 mln within the next 2 years. 

The CFO is responsible for the overall financial management of the businesses in Ukraine. The incumbent will act as true business partner to the CEO and the management team of the solar and wind assets.

Dimensions of essential duties of the CFO and their brief overview:

  • Accounting, Controls and Financial Reporting: manage all aspects of accounting, prepare statutory financial statements, coordinate internal & external audit;
  • Taxation: ensure a robust tax compliance framework, establish & implement tax risk management procedures, manage external tax advisors;
  • Treasury: ensure effective treasury management as well as a robust risk control environment;
  • Project Financing: lead all activities related to the administration of the project financing arrangements in place;
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: long term business planning, annual budgeting and periodic budget updates, establish and maintain an effective performance management system;
  • Insurance Management: develop and maintain an effective risk assessment framework for insurable risks;
  • Corporate Governance: establish a strong processes and procedures, with regard to the corporate governance and its link to all aspects of the finance function.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration; 
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CMA/CA/ACCA is a must-have;
  • Masters in Finance and/or Business Administration would be an advantage;
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in financial management, of which 3 years should be in a similar position/responsibility; 
  • Familiarity with Ukraine corporate and tax laws and regulations;
  • Familiarity with market leading ERP systems and Financial Planning and Consolidation systems;
  • Ability to build trust and effective personal relations both within the organization and with all relevant external stakeholders;
  • High energy with a “can do” mentality;
  • Fluent in English.
