Aimprosoft, a fast-growing outsourcing IT company, is looking for a Trainee Java Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to start your career with educational projects and move to commercial ones. You will start as a Java Engineer and later switch to a Scala tech stack connected with either Big Data or high-load applications.

During this traineeship, you will firstly learn how to work with reactive and non-blocking technologies such as Vert.x and Quarkus, including all supplementary libraries and technologies (e.g., Hibernate, NoSQL databases). Having finished the Java part, you will have a chance to select and tune your further Scala education that includes such technologies as Play Framework for reactive web applications and Apache Spark for handling Big Data.

The traineeship takes place in a real work environment. You will study 8 hours a day, staying in the company’s office, and collaborating closely with the Data Science/Data Engineering team.

With the support of our friendly team, you will learn how to build, automate, and launch new functionality and software solutions. That is a great opportunity for those who want to grow into highly qualified Scala engineers.

Your responsibilities during the traineeship will be:

• Follow tasks given by a Team Lead

Required skills:

• Good knowledge of OOP
• java.lang.Object
• Strings
• The Collections API and java.util.
• Java exceptions
• IO (knowledge of java.io., java.nio. will be a plus)
• Threads, java.util.concurrent. will be a plus
• JDBC
• Knowledge of Git
• Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Intermediate level of English (B1) and higher

Would be a plus:

• Knowledge of Scala
• Knowledge of Docker
• Knowledge of any build system
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., Apache Cassandra/MongoDB)
• Knowledge of any Java web framework
• Knowledge of data engineering frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark)
