BDO in Ukraine in cooperation with BDO Canada and its software services company are looking for a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Technology Consulting Practice with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the world.

This role would will need to plan and execute various types of testing including system integration, end-to-end, regression, web application, database application, website, mobile device, third party software testing, etc. for software or infrastructure projects and support initiatives, while adhering to testing and quality standards and best practices. Successful candidates should also have intermediate to high skills in UI automation and scripting.

Responsibilities will include

•     Review business requirements, system requirement specifications, design and other project

           documents for clarity and completeness and provide constructive feedback.

•     Design, develop and document test strategy, test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on

           functional and non-functional requirements and best practices.

•     Perform test execution including capturing test results, documenting defects and adhering to

           defect management workflow.

•     Perform back-end and front-end testing to ensure data consistency.

•     Build, maintain and schedule automated tests.

•     Estimate test effort and develop test schedule for projects and support initiatives.

•     Assist and support business users in User Acceptance test design, planning and testing.

•     Facilitate test planning and review meetings with project team and stakeholders.

•     Provide timely, concise test progress /status reports.

•     Provide recommendations for QA process improvement.

•     Maintain positive and professional relationships with project or support stakeholders.

•     Knowledge sharing with, and support of, other team members.

•     Liaise with business users, business analysts, and developers to ensure that planned testing

•     meets project requirements.

•     Respond proactively to both business and project issues, risks and escalate appropriately.

Your experience and education

·       University Degree or College Diploma related to Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering

·       Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance Analyst role with expertise in functional testing, system testing, and system integration testing including test automation

·       Must have knowledge writing SQL queries to validate data integrity

·       Solid understanding of SDLC, Software QA methodologies, tools and process with proven experience in Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid development environment

·       Experience in creation and maintenance of automation test scripts using open source tools

·       Experience with cloud platforms, application modernization and data migration is an asset

·       Experience in security, vulnerability, load/performance testing is an asset

·       Excellent system demo skill is an asset

·       Excellent ability to develop and document comprehensive test plans, procedures, test cases and results that are simple to understand

·       Exceptional comprehension and analytical skills. Competence in concisely explaining problems, both verbally and in a written format

·       Willingness to learn new technology skills to keep pace with the improvements of the testing process

·       Ability to pick up projects mid-stream, be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision

·       Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure to meet deadlines

·       English level — upper-intermediate and above

Working conditions:

•     Working schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 hours a day, with overlap 09-12 EST time zone
