Since our founding in 2014, Kickbox has been integrated into many of the internet’s largest brands. Our goal is to ensure customers with opt-in contacts get their message to the inbox, and to prevent all the rest from hitting ‘Send’. We’re a small team, growing quickly, and focused on building a world-class platform. Kickbox® headquarters and main team are located in Dallas, TX.

The Opportunity:

Kickbox® (SMTP.com’s sister company, kickbox.com) is looking for an experienced talented, passionate Node.JS / JavaScript developer to help us expand and evolve our web applications, APIs, and integrations. You’ll be a part of a team of fellow developers who love to learn as they face new projects on our expanding platform. The ideal candidate is able to work well with the back end code, write functional and unit tests, and create clean, well documented, secure code.

There are 2 main current projects that Kickbox is needing help with. 

Kickbox Capture

Kickbox Capture allows our customers to design and deploy modern modals and elements to incentivize and capture their visitors email address. This project requires working with both backend and frontend code to create a compelling user experience.

Deliverability Features

Adding new features to our deliverability suite will require working with ElasticSearch data, various web and email APIs, and connecting the results with our frontend (which is designed by a frontend engineer).

Qualifications & Experience:

● 3+ Years of NodeJS development

● Understanding of modern JavaScript - ECMAScript 6 (ES6) and later

● At least a basic knowledge of HTML / CSS

● Ability to write SQL queries and design basic database schemas (MySQL)

● Experience with Version Control (Git)

● Willingness to learn new technologies and skills
