We are looking for talented Lead Java SW Engineers to join one of our teams engaged in the development of business applications for major British companies.

Responsibilities:

The purpose of The Hut Group Procurement System (THG Procure) is to provide a simple web application for range users from Stocks, Warehouse, Suppliers which can use the business/functional possibilities to procure Direct material (stock for resale, finished goods – Phase 1), Raw material (Whey powder – Phase 2) and Indirect material (computers, warehouse building material etc – Phase 2).

The application will consist of 3 main portals:

• THG User portal (to be used by the end-user and managers)

• THG Warehouse portal (to be used by the warehouse operational staff to manage inbound deliveries)

• THG supplier portal (to be used by THG suppliers to book their delivery slot and respond to orders raised by THG).

Tools we use on that project:

• Java 11; Spring boot 2.2+;
• CockroachDB; Liquibase; Gradle;
• Docker is possible for local dev/build pipeline (docker registry possible to configure);
• Swagger; OpenStack; Jenkins; RabbitMQ; Keycloak (users only – roles + permissions from Database);
• Integration tests framework – to define (Cucumber, jBehave);
• JFrog artifactory (to proxy libs & store jars/poms/npm);
• Angular 9; Hyper (bootstrap); S3 API (Ceph); Grafana; Prometheus.

Required skills:

• Strong Java experience: Java 11 and Spring boot 2.2+
• Understanding of Microservice architecture
• AWS (preferable) or other Cloud Platform experience
• Habit to cover your code with unit & integration tests
• Expertise in CI/CD (Infrastructure as code (IaC), Docker & Kubernetes
• Growth mindset & strong leadership skills
• Great communicator with the ability to influence
• Customer & quality focused (Agile, CI/CD and TDD/BDD approach)
• Thrive in a fast-paced digital environment
• Speaking English command at least B2 level

As a plus:

• Experience with Kafka
• Understanding front-end code in different technologies (Angular 9)
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL
• Experience in distributing high-loaded systems
