Our client is one of the largest insurance organizations in North America and was founded 35 years ago. It is a leading provider of guaranteed asset protection coverage and vehicle service contracts. The client distributes vehicle service contracts through franchised new-car dealerships in the United States. Its products and services include service contracts for exclusionary and component coverage, as well as coverage against factory warranties; GAP Protection and Preferred Tire Care for new and used vehicles sold at franchised new-car dealerships; Web-based services; and F&I training courses.

DataArt’s specialists are helping to update an outdated system and improving the tools for the client’s analytical reports. Technologies used in the project: Oracle DB, ETL: SAAS/ODI; BI tools: QlikView.

The Client is currently looking to migrate all their infrastructure to GCP Cloud and switch to Cloud-native technologies such as GCP BigQuery and Looker. Among the tools used are also ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, ETL Striim, and ETL Informatica.

The project’s main tasks are:

• Organize research and analysis activities to create a new Cloud infrastructure.

• Actively participate in the CDC development cycle;

• Help to design and model future system integration and processes;

• Provide support and administration of all business requests for changes in the new system setup.

Distributed team including engineers and stakeholders from the client side. An excellent chance to proactively contribute to the solution and improve your English with native speakers.

We are looking for a person who will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of the clients’ solutions.

Must have

• Hands-on experience with GCP
• Hands-on experience with DWH: BigQuery
• Experience with BI tools scripting and reporting
• Familiarity with basic statistical methodologies to analyze data, forecast trends, and create analytical models
• Familiarity with Data Warehouses (BigQuery) with an understanding of approaches to Data Warehousing
• Good understanding of data modelling
• Ability to reverse engineer existing solutions
• Ability to analyze existing solutions to provide enhancement and performance recommendations
• English — Upper-intermediate or higher

Would be a plus

• The ability to effectively communicate with technical customers
• Certified GCP Data Engineer
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Hands-on experience with other ETL toolsets (such as ODI, Informatica, Striim, SSIS)
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent
• Good mathematical skills
